We would like to say, that we are a family home & do not want people returning home drunk.
As we will refuse entry.
I am sorry but we do not take Construction Workers, due to dirty workwear.
We hope you understand this, due to keeping our rooms clean.
On a Week Day (Sun - Thurs) the front door will be locked at 11.00pm
& on a Weekend (Fri & Sat) the front door will be locked at 12.30pm
Steve and Alison welcome you to their home offering you Bed & Breakfast.
Start your day, with a Full English (or vegetarian) or Continental Breakfast.
For the smaller appetite you may require a lighter selection. The choice is yours.
Breakfast is served between 7.30am - 9am.
Rock Cottage is about 300 years old and has been in Alison’s family for five generations.
Guest Accommodation, we have four rooms.
One is a large double room, this can be used as a family room, (The Wishing Well Room)
it has an adjoining bunk room, also another bed can be put in with the double, this is on the ground floor.
We have a travel cot if needed.
The second room is a twin room, on the first floor, at the rear of Rock Cottage, (The Woodlands Room)
these two rooms both have en-suite, with bath and shower.
The other two rooms are at the front, of Rock Cottage, also on the first floor, one is a double room (The Bushes) and the other is a single,
at a push, it can be used as a twin, (The Nest Room) these two rooms share a shower room.
We have a spacious Garden room, where you can sit in comfort and watch the wildlife.
At this present time, we are sorry to say, that we are unable to take manual industrial workers, due to the
nature of your work and your work clothing.
I am sure, you can appreciate this, whilst you would be staying within a clean and tidy, family home.
Access into Rock Cottage, for the disabled is a little tricky at the moment, but once inside, all the downstairs rooms
are spacious & are easy to manage.
Check In AFTER 4pm (16.00) Please advise approx time of arrival.
Check Out 10.30am (10.30).
There is plenty of room for children to run around, as we have two boys aged 18 & 16, who spend many hours out in the garden.
The rooms have Tea & Coffee making facilities, TV, Wi-Fi available. Radio with ipod/iphone docking. Hairdryer & Iron/Board.
For those chilly winter nights, beds are fitted with electric blankets.
Bedrooms are non - smoking.
We are situated between Bristol & Bath, (Kingswood in South Gloucestershire) and we can arrange transport for you
(self drive or chauffeur) depending on your needs.
Your stay can be customised to suit your requirements. From pick up and return to Airport, Train Station etc,
to complete chauffeur and host service through out your stay. (fee to be discussed).
With the Historic City of Bristol and the Roman City of Bath, within a fifteen-minute drive away, this could be an all season holiday.
Steve would help you to plan your next day’s trip, the evening before, over a complimentary drink.
We can arrange transport for your evenings out. (Taxi/Hire Car)
We can recommend places for your evening meals, in our surrounding area, pubs, restaurants or takeaways.
Or if you wish a night in, you can have your evening meal, at Rock Cottage, for an extra charge. (see enclosed tariff).
Also if you wish, we can do you a pack lunch, for an extra charge, just let me know the night before.
And only a short drive to Bath Race Course at Lansdown, Near Bath. BA1 9BU.
Castle Combe Racing Circuit is only 30 minutes away.
There are many Shopping Malls within easy reach, also a Historic Street Market, St. Nicholas Market, in the heart of Bristol.
Local Cinema & Leisure Complexes. Also several Golf Courses, if you fancy a round.
There are many events in and around Bath and Bristol, throughout the year, not just during the Summer months,
so let us drive you there.
Weston-Super-Mare is only an hour drive away, if you fancy a day trip to a nearby beach.
For the more energetic, nearby we have the old Dramway, it is now a cylce route from Bristol to Bath, (a few cafe's & pub's
are on the way) we have bicycles for loan (for a small fee).
On your treck along the cycle track, the Old Bitton Railway is open to the public, you can have a short ride on the Steam Train.
(Also on the Santa Express during December). Bitton Railway also has a lovely cafe of its own.
On the cycle track, in Warmley, there is an Old Ironwork Forge, if you wish to have a look inside, this can be arranged.
For the more artistic or creative person, why not have an hour tuition with a local artist.

Also we have hosted foreign students, in the past (aged 16 -18 years) the students attended a local school.
If your are interested in your child (foreign student) coming to England to study please email us
and we will sort this out for you. Your child will be well looked after whilst living within an English family.
This is a great experience for any young person.
Finally, we would like you to be aware, that we have a cat & a dog. This is just in case, you
have an allergy to either of them.
